Happy Food bags are 100% recyclable.

Future Focused Agriculture
GIS, GPS, Lidar, drone technology, smart tractors, these are just some of the newest technologies we use in our groves to help us increase yields while simultaneously decreasing inputs. Our passion for future generations to experience the taste of Florida citrus and beauty of land drives us every day toward new innovative possibilities to feed the world responsibly.

Innovative packaging
We wanted to provide consumers with a fully recyclable and easily recyclable option. To achieve this, we made significant changes to our supply and designs. Additionally, we have plans to incorporate laser printing technology onto our bags in the future. This innovative approach will further enhance the recyclability of our bags and help reduce waste.

Reycle responsibly
A plastic based product is often marked with a number between 1-7, which is placed inside of a small triangle made of arrows. The number inside the triangle corresponds to a different type of plastic, ensuring the product is recycled properly. Recycle numbers 1 & 2 are easy to recycle; 4-6 can sometimes be recycled; and 3 & 7 are hard to recycle. Learn more here.
Recycle where you shop
Happy Food netted bags are made entirely from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), making them 100% recyclable including the netting. This classifies our bags under RECYCLE number 2 HDPE which can be recycled at your local supermarket’s store drop-off bin, along with other soft plastics like plastic bags.

Investing in the future

Employee well-being
It's our goal for employees to come for a job but to stay for a career. As an equal opportunity employer, we provide career opportunities and flexibility for employees regardless of their gender, race, age, sexual orientation, culture, language, or religion.

Stewards of the environment
Because of our passion and commitment to both our land and nature’s endless miracles, we are constantly exploring new ways to better our sustainability practices as stewards of the environment. Through the exploration of the newest innovations, technology, and lean practices, our team is committed to grow, pack, and distribute citrus in the most sustainable manner.

Conservation & habitat preservation
From insects to alligators, countless Florida wildlife call our land home, and our passion for growing premium citrus has given us the unique opportunity to diligently conserve their environment. By setting aside all of our unproductive grove acres for conservation purposes, wildlife can safely continue to build their homes and grow their families as nature intended.
Our sustainability goals
1. We will design 99% of our packaging to be fully recyclable by the year 2026.
2. We will have 90% of our acres of citrus engaged with nutrient optimization by the year 2027.
3. We will have 90% of our acres of citrus engaged with nutrient optimization by the year 2027.
